I wrote three episodes for this show, and it was a very fun and unique assignment. Curious Morenike is a fully-scripted show intended for children where a young girl, Morenike, explores and explains complex topics like emotional intelligence, financial literacy, and how the internet works. Researching the minutia of these topics and then writing them in a way that was educational and entertaining for young kids and their parents, was both rewarding and challenging.

Working on this show really gave me a greater appreciation for everyone at Sesame Street. Shout out to Big Bird, Mr. Hooper, and the letter W.

 

You know, I thought had a pretty good understanding of emotional intelligence and the internet, until I had to write out exactly what they were, and oh yeah, do so in a way that children find entertaining. These two scripts were fun to write!
